Botox®

Botox® is a medicine used to block nerve impulses to muscles, sweat glands, and pain receptors. Hence, it has a wide range of cosmetic and medical implications. Repeated muscle activity in the face results in lines and wrinkles and Botox helps to reduce the expression strength leading to fewer lines and wrinkles.

Botox® areas may include face and body indications. From cosmetic wrinkles in the face or symptoms such as bruxism, migraine, headaches and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), Botox® has over 300 medical uses.

The three Botox® areas commonly requested for anti-wrinkle injections are:

  • Forehead
  • Glabellar Complex
  • Crow’s Feet

Botox®

Other anti-wrinkle injection areas in the face include bunny lines (over the nose), mentalis crease (the line between the chin and lips), and sad appearing (downturned) mouth corners.

Botox® works well for both men and women. The desired outcome is calculable, and “frozen celebrity appearances” are not typical outcomes.

Botox® may last 4-6 months on average. Initially, first-timers notice a shorter duration due to strong muscle activity and power. Subsequent botox injections will last longer.
