The Aerolase® Neo Elite offers comprehensive and gentle skin rejuvenation, catering to all skin types and tones, including tanned skin. The procedure involves only a beam of laser light touching the skin, ensuring a remarkably pleasant experience. Aerolase's development of Neo's 650 Microsecond Technology™ eliminates discomfort during treatment, making it a safe and highly effective option for individuals with even the darkest skin tones.
The number of sessions needed for optimal results can vary based on individual skin characteristics and the severity of the condition. Typically, 4 to 6 sessions are recommended to achieve a satisfactory outcome. Following this initial phase, maintenance sessions may be required every few months, depending on the patient's skin type and specific needs.
Patients can expect to see immediate results after the treatment, and these improvements will continue to enhance over time. Following the completion of the full set of treatments, typically administered once a month for 3 to 6 months, the results will persist. However, patients may choose to schedule maintenance sessions every few months to further optimize and sustain the benefits.
In preparation for the procedure, discontinue the use of retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and benzoyl peroxide-containing products at least one week prior, checking all skincare items, including over-the-counter ones. Notify us promptly of any history of cold sores for potential rescheduling. Refrain from prolonged sun exposure, spray tanning, or tanning bed use in the week leading up to the appointment. Arrive without makeup if possible, although it can be removed at the spa for convenience. During the procedure, expect a mild and pleasant warming sensation on the skin. Any slight redness, if it occurs, typically fades within a few hours post-treatment. Most clients who have tried other lasers report that Aerolase is much gentler.
After Aerolase®, avoid applying anything to the skin for 15 minutes to enhance the heat response stimulating collagen. Experience minimal downtime with mild redness lasting a few hours. For 48-72 hours post-treatment, refrain from using products like retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or scrubs. Resume normal activities immediately, but be cautious of direct sun exposure; use sunscreen for optimal results.
